Meg Lindley

"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined." - H.D.Thoreau

Meg Lindley is a product developer and merchandiser at August Silk, a New York based company. A Texan by heart but a New Yorker by choice. She first realized she wanted to be involved with the fashion industry while studying abroad in London. Upon her graduation from Texas Christian University with a Bachelors in Fashion Merchandising, she moved to New York City.

She started her career at Elie Tahari as an intern the summer before her senior year in college. Upon graduation, she was hired as an Assistant in product development. She was promoted several times diving more into the design and product development sides of the company. She directly managed the design, sourcing, and development of the TAHARI line.

She hit the ceiling for growth at Elie and moved to work for Natori, known mainly for their lingerie business. At Natori, she was working as a Brand Manager for the sleepwear and ready-to-wear divisions. She managed the merchandising and development of both lines, including sourcing and strategies for the merchandising plan.

Currently, Meg works for August Silk as the Associate Director of Merchandising. Managing the development of sweaters, knits, and wovens for women's above-the-waist product.

In addition, she designs jewelry as a side project. All of her jewelry is made by hand in a studio in Brooklyn. Meg started this venture about a year ago and is currently building her line to launch in the new year.
